Florida Winter Tour - Review

In the new digital issue of KartSport Magazine, we take a big-time look at the entire 2008 Florida Winter Tour season; the big winners, the big prizes, the big successes, and the big problems (well, they may not be THAT big…). The June 2008 KartSport Magazine is available FREE to everyone.

Here’s an excerpt from the magazine article…

The Florida Winter Tour is one tough puppy to slap a label on. What is it, exactly? Confined to three tracks within one state, perhaps it is a glorified regional. But wait- many of its racers come from across the United States, so is it a mini-national? Not so fast; drivers from over 20 countries attend the series, so is it an international extravaganza? What is this hybrid mutt that’s known as the FWT?

Those who are jealous of its success like to say that the FWT is nothing more than a fortunate anomaly. It works because it’s the only real game in town during the winter months, that its geographic location makes it accessible to not just North America, but also well-heeled racers in Central and South America, and even the occasional Euro.
