Mission

So what’s the point of all this?

We feel that North American karting hasn’t received its fair dose of respect in the eyes of the mainstream motorsports media, let alone the public at large. Yet as much as the karting industry gets frustrated that the sport’s potential goes unrecognized, we, as a community, only have ourselves to blame for the situation we’re in. Here at KartSport, we applaud the efforts of those who have acted in the best interests of karting’s future, yet we are discouraged by those who’ve anchored us to the past.

With all that in mind, there’s no arguing that the burden of moving the sport forward sits upon the shoulders of the karting population, which includes the karters themselves, the sanctioning bodies, and media outlets such as KartSport.

Given that we eagerly take partial responsibility for progressing karting toward its magnificent future, it should come as no surprise that how we intend to do that is exactly the same as our Mission. We’re on a crusade to present karting as an exciting, specialized and advanced form of motorsport, complete with worthy heroes, controversial personalities, stunning event photography, and rugged commentary that doesn’t always paint a rosy picture.

Then, we’ll take our product out into the mainstream and feed it to the unenlightened masses who have yet to discover the power and the glory of this type of racing.

Our staff is comprised of a core group of rabid enthusiasts who are out to find some legitimacy and respect for our sport, and we intend to have a lot of fun along the way. That’s the Mission we’ve assigned to ourselves, and we hope you’ll enjoy being part of the journey.
